I wanted to take you on a little step by step through the setting up of my successful review site.

It all started with 47 Clickbank product  review articles that I bought for only $4.

The first thing I did was create the review site, I had to find most of the vendor ID’s and add a picture to each review where possible to make them look more professional.  I wanted to optimize each page for the most part for “product name review” usually with a little “how to something” thrown into the title.

It took me close to two weeks to really complete the site and start generating traffic.

But when the traffic came, it converted like crazy and I was in shock!

Then it became clear to me, these people who are clicking through are already aware of the product, the price, they just read a review.  You really couldn’t get much more targeted traffic than this, they are looking to buy a product.

So a little about how I started generating traffic to the site.

First thing I did was post all the reviews on Articlebase.com linking back to my site then I linked up the rss feed to those articles on my blogs.  Then I submitted the reviews to about 5 other article directories using Mass Article Submitter

I then went to blogger and created an info-product review blog I put up another info product review google site at which point I began linking back to my blogger posts as well as my site.  I added the rss feeds to my wordpress blog and Squidoo and everywhere else I could syndicate rss.

By the end of three weeks I had brought in 78 hops and 5 sales, and set up a linking system to keep that traffic coming in for a long time.  It’s not too hard, you need content, you need links, you need traffic, it takes effort and time.

There’s really no end to it, today I put up more at live journal take it as far as you want.

Most people give up or get distracted far to easily, the important thing is to take action when you know you’ve got a good thing, keep working for the weeks it takes to see results.  Don’t give up before you even get started!

I tell You..

If you really think that you can make money without doing any work You need to just quit right now.

Don’t waste any more of your time or energy, because you need to realize that if you want to compete with everybody else out there who’s earning money online you’ve got to put in at least enough effort to keep up.

Maybe you’ve just got to find that nice little niche to dominate, maybe you’ve got to create a product so good that you  have JV partners lining up to build your customer list.  There are a ton of ways for you to achieve success online but don’t fool yourself, it’s going to take some work.

It’s going to take some effort to promote anything, and sometimes trial and error to get it to work.

You can’t expect too much or you will want to give up.  It’s best to just set a small goal for yourself as far as promotion goes.  Like you’re going to write 1-5 articles a day, everyday, and submit them.

If you’re not a writer outsource the work, but whatever you do just be consistent.

Promote one thing until you see results, there are a ton of things you can do with articles and rss feeds to build links to your articles.  Just like I’ve added the feeds of the many places I’ve published articles to my blog.

If you’re not sure where to start it can be good to pick up a guide.  However information overload is a common problem for people trying to start out in Internet Marketing.  It’s really easy to fill your head with information instead of your website.   This is the wrong move!

Sure you’ve got to learn some things, but it’s not that much.  It’s all about putting whatever content you have got out there and seeing what kind of results you can get.  The worst thing that happens is you fail, and learn.

Life goes on, some things don’t work out as you might have hoped.  You need to be able to take defeat and move on with it as a lesson of what not to do.  If you fail at least try and learn something from the experience.

Consistent effort will pay off, just set yourself a reasonable goal and stick to it!

Are you too easily distracted?

Do you find yourself hopping from one thing to another.

It’s far to easy to fall into the pattern that I like to call Internet Marketing ADD!

Are you consumed with the act of learning rather than actually earning?

You honestly don’t need to know everything to make money online.

It all has to start with keyword and product research, and then..

Content is king, are you putting it out there?

It’s pretty simple, honestly just create content, and put it out there, link to it.

Profit!

You want to have the keywords in your title, post your article to your blog, to directories, to web 2.0.

Maybe it takes you a while to learn the art of writing articles and resource boxes that get results, but you’ll learn.

Copywriting is as important as your keyword research, if you’re talking about product development. Your salesletter is your money, if you can’t afford to outsource it you might need to learn about it before you can really “grab” a visitors attention, and keep it for more than ten seconds.

See cause most people in general have mild add, not many are going to stay with you if you’re not at least somewhat interesting.  The best thing you can do is shoot for curiosity in your headline, or title, like what is IMADD?

Once you’ve got some skills in the writing department you need to apply it, write articles, write an ebook, if you can’t write pay someone to do it, but if it comes natural to you than enjoy it because simple words can make you rich.

Whatever you’re doing online, you’ve got to DO IT!

Work, write, post, link, it takes work.

It doesn’t always pay off right away, but it will if you research, write and stick it out.

My review site started with some $4 articles that I bought and because I POSTED that content all over within two weeks I’ve made $71   I’ve also targeted a specific keyword for each. Building links submitting articles and bookmarking, linking blogs with rss.  This is all working to generate a long term traffic source that I can rely on for a while.

It takes work, it takes time but it pays in the end.

I’m sure that sometimes you feel like giving up.

It’s hard to start an online business as a single person, when you’re competing with guys who can outsource everything..

So much information, so much technology, it can be overwhelming.

The trick is to not get bogged down with information, it’s really to take action.

Build a list..

If you currently don’t have a list that is where you need to start.

A good way to start is to grab some free plr and create some squeeze pages to give them away.

Then you can participate in giveaway events which are a great way to bring in subscribers and if you upgrade you can set up offers that can bring you in customers.

Building a list of customers should be your ultimate goal, but if you don’t have a product giving away a free report or something else can be a way to get started building that list.

The fastest way for you to build a list is to create a product and get other people to promote it.  Now I’ll admit that this can be a lot of work, and sometimes hard to get momentum going when you’re new but any sales or joint ventures you can create become progress towards the bigger goal.

Now article marketing is another effective way to generate traffic to your squeeze pages.  If you can’t write them yourself you can pay someone to do it for you.  You can post articles to your blog, to article directories, have it ping social media for attention.

One of my last articles got 75 retweets within two days of posting it.  Posting your articles to directories can also get them published on other websites and in some ezines.  Many people rely on these directories for their content, so if you can write a good article it could be published across the web in no time.

The process of encouraging and enabling other people to spread your content around is viral marketing.

Pretty much everything you do should imply, suggest, and make simple the process of sharing that information with others.  This is how you can leverage the popularity of whatever you create, by encouraging it to be shared.

Beyond list building and viral marketing comes the “glue” that holds the whole process together, Copywriting.

What really makes or breaks your business is the words you choose, the way they can affect people is profound and requires a solid understanding of the English language and the psychological effect words can have.

Writing one good sales letter that sells can make you a lot of money.  Maybe your first one doesn’t make millions, but it’s a learning process.  Eventually you will discover what works, just never underestimate the importance of good copy.

I hope I painted you a nice picture of what it takes to achieve online success, what you need to do now is go and apply this.   Without action nothing is gained, it’s going to take some work, and it’s going to take some time.

It all started one day in the battle.net forums…

See I was addicted to this game called starcraft.

and one day browsing this forum some signature was like “hey I make money online”..

Curiosity got the best of me, and I was thrown into a world of junk pyramid schemes and traffic exchanges.

It took me the better part of two years messing around with free stuff and not making a single dime online before I felt I was ready, to get serious and buy a few domain names.

I started out with a collection of resale rights materials, put my own spin on it.

Just having the site landed me a JV someone who had a similar site, we exchanged free memberships as part of the JV and almost instantly I built myself a list of paying customers.   I began to make real money online, and quit my security job to work from home full time.

The first thing I did was create an offer called “I quit my day job special offer” and reeled in a whole bunch of people to contribute products.   It ended up being a huge success, and after all the years of hard work it had finally paid off.

Without revealing exactly what happened, I let some personal stress get the best of me and I broke down.

Falling into a deep depression despite my success, and with no one to pull me out of it I let it all fall apart.

Working for nearly 4 years to become successful online totally wasted..

I obviously regret this more than I can describe here, but that’s not the point…

The point is that once I finally pulled my head up from feeling terrible, the first thing I wanted to do was rebuild my Internet Business.   I’m sure you’ve heard it before, what would you do if you had no list, no jv partners and had to start with nothing but a few hundred dollars for hosting..

There I was, faced with the task of rebuilding everything from nothing, and so I began.

I had a bit of catching up to do, my head wasn’t really in the game for some time so I spent some money on what information and products I deemed necessary.  I picked I think 18 or so topics and began to build a blog, and twitter following around each one.  I didn’t spend a lot of time on any of them I just kind of threw them up there, as a test.

What I discovered was that some topics, would build because of their own popularity, and others wouldn’t.

Because I carefully tracked all my adsense I could sit back and evaluate which topics were worth monetizing and which ones weren’t.  It was only after I would discover that the blog was getting pagerank and traffic that I would go out in search of a product perfect to sell to that niche.

It’s important to note that I didn’t start off right away in Internet Marketing..  this is a “hyper competitive” niche where you’re really competing against the best guys in the world.  While I did eventually write my Internet Intelligence Report it was only after my work to monetize the niche blogs that I had created.

Internet Marketing is no joke, if you want to compete (as a single human being) you need to know a lot of stuff.

You need to have a passion for something so that you can write about it and not go insane.

Many people do not like writing articles and outsource it.  I would hardly say I like it but you read my story I’m pretty positive there is a part of me that enjoys this..   It’s important because from product creation to product promotion it’s all about your content, your sales letter, your articles.

If it’s not your thing you can outsource it, but there’s a big price range between writing articles, and writing copy.  Copywriting is important for every aspect of your marketing.  The words you choose can easily make or break your website.  If you’re like most people and can’t afford a copywriter you can study it yourself.

Beyond buying some popular copywriting courses you can simply look for appealing sales letters (in your market) and create a swipe file of the good stuff.  You can learn a lot just by reading into a few good sales letters to understand how they work, and the language that they use.

Well this is truly inspirational and if you have any doubt in your ability to make money online you need to read this..

A Fellow over at the Warrior Forum came up with a plan to write and submit 5 articles a day, 150 articles a month..

Now he admits that before making any sales it was hard to keep going..

But then he made 1!

So he continued this 5 article a day system and in about 3 months time he was earning $3000 per month..

It’s PROOF positive that success online is all about your content, your consistency, your patience.

Now before you go submitting a million articles everywhere there are some things to consider.

He did some research and picked 5 niches, so one article per topic per day.  He wrote original content based on “How To Fix Problem” type articles.  He submitted them to article directories, blogs, web 2.0..

All he did was set himself a reasonable daily goal to implement a good plan, and he stuck it out until it paid off.

Article Marketing is powerful, if you have the ability to write even one article a day, eventually.

Just don’t quit, don’t doubt for a second that you can do it.

You only waste your time and energy by questioning yourself, write and learn.

The crazy part is that he did all this without any kind of list building just articles and affiliate sites.

So, set yourself some realistic daily goals.  I personally don’t spend 100% of my time on article marketing but it is a huge part of my online strategy.

Many marketers will base their article marketing around ezinearticles.com and while I obviously do submit my articles there, I find that the time it takes to get published can put a “wait time” on your efforts.

What I’ve been doing lately is submitting my articles and product reviews to Articlebase.com which as long as you follow the pretty basic guidelines you can get your articles submitted almost instantly.  I published the reviews under a pen name, and then used the profile rss on the sidebars of my blogs, and pretty much anywhere else where I can submit or syndicate rss.

I then copy and paste from the article base editing page into Mass Article Submitter and send it out to a bunch more sites quickly.  Then to blogger, Google sites, squidoo, articles to wordpress.. (they didn’t like my product reviews)

There’s no real secret formula, just to create valuable content and put it out there.  It’s going to take some time but if you can just write 5 new articles a day, you can make incredible money online, it just takes some time.

Now I’ve been splitting my time between optimizing my review site, getting links as well as promoting my Internet Intelligence Report in every possible way I can.  Your business plan might require you to do a few more things than just write 5 articles a day, but if you follow a plan and don’t give up you can only succeed.

Let’s just imagine for a minute that Internet Marketing is a game of Monopoly.

Then imagine all the different web 2.0 sites as properties.

Now if you build “around” a central property this property becomes popular and brings in more rent.

You get the idea? Content + Web 2.0 = landing pages with links to your “popular” property.

Writing one article isn’t going to make you rich, but writing a few a day, and submitting them to various article directories and web 2.0 properties is going to get you traffic.

It’s a numbers game and to win you need lots of traffic.

So you write, or pay someone to write your content, and you spread it across the web, and you point back to with lots of links.  Getting too many too quickly is never good so try and post a little bit at a time.

Which are the best web 2.0 properties?  Well search for a keyword and tell me what sites are in the results?

There’s usually an article directory and other similar sites near the top.

Start there, nothing happens overnight it takes some time.

If you want to compete online you’re going to have to face the reality that it takes some work.

Sure you can automate a lot of tasks and what you can’t you can outsource (ideally)

Just knowing that puts you miles ahead of so many who are struggling to make it online.

Take action, and keep at it, don’t become discouraged because your 5 articles haven’t made a sale..

Write 50!  If you can just do two a day you will end up with hundreds by the end of the year.

Just keep it up, don’t give up!

You need two things to become successful on the internet, first you need to be able to “reach” as many people as you can.

This can include email marketing, blogging, social media, pretty much any possible way for you to get your message out there

One of the easiest ways to expand your reach is viral marketing.

Viral marketing is a proccess by which your content gets redistributed.

It can be tricky to get a viral campaign to really go viral , however there are some more detailed tips on viral marketing in my Viral Traffic Report (Coming Soon!)

You want to build your reach by giving away free information, creating lists of targeted people based on their interests, or your product.

The easiest way to do this is to get some private label rights content, and produce your own compilation. An example would be to find PLR articles and ebooks related to “twitter” and create the “ultimate free twitter guide” With PLR the products are practically created for you, you just need to put your own spin on things to stand out from the crowd.

Once you have some experience putting together say a free ebook and ecourse to build your contacts you can participate in giveaway events to start building your lists. The next step is to create a real product.

Having your own product you can sell is important, because you can get other people to sell it as well. Master Resale Rights are common because if the product sells it spreads its way across the internet as more and more people sell it, include it as a bonus etc..

PLR Content is cheap, digital products cost pennies to deliver so the prices are sometimes so cheap it’s hard to believe.

The information is often very good and ends up overlooked because people see it as cheap, or just something else to sell.

It’s hard if you get a TON of PLR you can’t read everything, but it would be well worth it to pick the top quality products and take a moment to get some ideas from them.
